Details
This FAQ does not replace a personal review, but it helps organise the important questions before the next step.
Premium Elements 4.0 is an individually usable precious-metal depot through which physical precious metals can be built up over the medium to long term.
A precious-metal depot is a structured way to hold physical precious metals. Before deciding, the metals, ownership and custody arrangements, costs, sale options and associated market risks should be understood.
The focus is on gold, silver, platinum and palladium. The desired allocation can be discussed in relation to the objective, timeframe and risk tolerance.
The metals are physically held. Gold is stored in high-security vaults in Germany; silver, platinum and palladium are held in high-security areas of a bonded warehouse in Switzerland. Physical holdings are checked regularly.
The physical holdings are insured under the custody arrangements, including against typical risks such as theft, fire and water damage. The precise contract documents remain authoritative.
According to the product information, pricing is based on the current LBMA fixing prices for gold and silver and LPPM fixing prices for platinum and palladium. Mark-ups, deductions and fees depend on the transaction and applicable documents.
Depending on the arrangement, costs can arise for setup, account or contract administration, purchase and sale, custody, delivery or other services. The binding amount, timing and calculation are set out in the current product and contract documents.
A repurchase can generally be requested in text form without a minimum volume. According to the published product information, processing may take up to ten bank working days; the repurchase price is based on the current fixing prices. The applicable contractual and bank terms remain decisive.
An adjustment of the allocation between gold, silver, platinum and palladium can be requested by written instruction to the bank. Implementation is governed by the applicable contractual and processing conditions.
Yes. The product approach is based on physically existing and stored precious metals, not merely on a price reference. The precise ownership and custody structure is described in the application and contract documents.
Bars are acquired from manufacturers certified by the LBMA or LPPM. Heraeus is a well-known German example; actual availability depends on professional precious-metals trading.
Physical precious metals have a material value. This is not a guarantee of performance or sale price: market prices can fluctuate significantly. Timeframe, risk tolerance and the personal financial situation should be reviewed carefully.
Holdings, transactions and current values can be viewed through Sutor Bank's digital customer portal. Access requires an activated customer relationship and the portal's technical requirements.
The process is linked to Sutor Bank GmbH in Hamburg. Founded in 1921, it manages more than 300,000 investment accounts, is a member of the Association of German Banks and is supervised by BaFin. Gold is held in Germany; silver, platinum and palladium are held in a bonded warehouse in Switzerland. The holdings are adequately insured.
Buying directly can be suitable, but it raises questions about storage, insurance, documentation and later sale. The product structure combines purchase, custody and administration. A complete comparison should always include all costs and conditions.
After the initial fee-settlement phase, contributions can be increased, reduced or paused under the applicable terms. Withdrawals and physical delivery may subsequently be possible. The contract documents are decisive.
Early termination may cause fees and offsetting effects. The published product FAQ mentions a bank fee of EUR 50; outstanding fees agreed in the application may be offset against the contract assets. The specific documents are binding.
For privately held precious metals, gains may be tax-free in Germany after a twelve-month holding period if the statutory requirements are met. Special VAT rules may apply to silver, platinum and palladium in a bonded warehouse. This is not tax advice.
Physical delivery may be possible. Minimum quantities, bar sizes, fees and the applicable contract rules apply; the product FAQ cites a minimum quantity of 100 grams for gold as an example.
Price fluctuations are part of the market. With regular purchases, a lower price can mean that more metal units are acquired for the same contribution. This cost-average effect does not automatically reduce risk and is not a value guarantee.
A long-term savings plan spreads purchases across different market phases, creates plannability and enables gradual build-up with smaller contributions. It does not replace a personal decision: prices fluctuate, and all costs and the realistic time horizon should be reviewed first.
Long-term goals can make a structured approach worth discussing, but a precious-metal depot is not automatically suitable for every person or goal. Time horizon, liquidity needs, risk tolerance, costs and the wider financial situation should be considered individually.
